Bakery-style protein cookies


Thin, chewy centers. Crispy golden edges. And a protein boost from the last ingredient you'd expect. We swapped half a cup of flour for ChiChi hot cereal — and these might be our new favorite cookies.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1¼ cups brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup ChiChi hot cereal (half Original, half Dark Chocolate)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugars until smooth.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Fold in dry ingredients — don't overmix.
  4. Roll into golf ball-size dough balls and chill for 10 minutes.
  5. Bake at 385°F for 8–10 minutes, until edges are golden and crisp.
